Access to Opportunity: Coursera Google IT Support Certificate Applicants to Participate Needed
The CLT Alliance Foundation is a partner and regional program administrator for the Coursera Workforce Recovery Initiative which includes access to certificates like the Google IT Support Professional Certificate. This is designed to train people without a college degree or provide re-skilling for in-demand information technology careers. The Coursera Certificate provides unemployed workers with access to free online learning. Deadline to enroll: October 31, 2020!
Mixed Economic Indicators While COVID-19 Cases Climb
Indicators through October show some reasons for optimism. Closing the Technology Gap in Charlotte
The AvidXchange Foundation was created in 2005 to help elementary school children impacted by hurricane Katrina. CLT Alliance Talks: Social Networks and Economic Mobility in Charlotte
Improving economic mobility in Charlotte has been top of mind for business and civic leaders lately. A 2014 Harvard study called attention to the region’s low ranking in respect to helping low-income kids move up the income ladder.
