Retaining top talent in the midst of the ‘Great Resignation’
Employers across the Charlotte Region and the nation are in the midst of what many are calling the ‘Great Resignation’. Businesses are struggling to retain a qualified workforce, prompting many to change their approach in order to attract, 找到, 并留住合适的人才.

The speakers were two individuals who deal with the issue on a daily basis: Blair Primis, senior vice president of 市场营销 and talent management, Orthocarolina; and Angela Fumo, senior vice president of human capital, 温德姆资本抵押贷款. Primis and Fumo offered thoughts on how to navigate the current environment, 工作场所的文化, and why video and other technology are necessary tools to deploy.

"I think the first step is to acknowledge that hybrid work is hard,” Primis said. “As a result, leaders need to lean into human connection with team members. I have found this to be the best approach for a diversified workforce, allowing for flexibility and accountability across the organization."

The company produced a documentary entitled “Saving Spiracle,” which takes an intimate look at three small business owners as they struggle to keep their company afloat, while trying to keep their personal lives intact during a worldwide pandemic.
